I haven’t worn a strapless bra since prom…12 years ago. As someone with a large bust, I’ve always had a hard time finding a strapless bra that lifts and supports the girls, while being comfortable enough to wear all day. So instead, I’ve resorted to using nipple pasties and suffering underboob sweat—or I go braless (depending on the shirt, of course). It turns out a few of my colleagues have also had trouble finding a strapless bra that fits their big boobs, so I reached out to Mila Sojanovic, a bra expert and business manager at Bravissimo for some help.

What Is the Most Common Mistake People Make When Buying a Strapless Bra for Big Boobs?
Many of us are quick to discard a bra if it doesn’t fit on the first try. However, Stojanovic wants us to give it another shot and not lose hope just yet. “It’s always important to adjust yourself into the bra (at any size and in every style of bra). Sometimes it looks like the bra doesn’t fit, but you just need to make a few adjustments. For starters, you want to check that the wire sits underneath your boobs, right against your chest. Have a little wiggle to get yourself into the bra,” she suggests.

First, I went through Reddit, Instagram and TikTok to find the most popular strapless bras for big boobs. I also looked through countless reviews on Amazon, Nordstrom and Target. From there, I tapped my fellow busty editors to test a few strapless bras for a month. While testing, we followed our PureWow100 criteria, which analyzes the value, quality and comfort of each bra. Have you ever gone bra shopping only to find one that looks amazing, but realize they don’t actually carry your size? Well, Lane Bryant is having none of that and ranks high for their inclusive size range. Whether you’re a 34B or a 54H, the brand has a wide selection of strapless bras. Out of all the bras I’ve tested, I found this one to be the best fit for me. At first, I was taken aback by the padding, but it didn’t hinder the look and feel of the bra. The curve design gives it a stylish flair and provides great full coverage. My favorite feature is the wide comfort band that has five clasps in the back, which helps lift and support the girls. Overall, it’s super comfortable and I didn’t have to adjust it throughout the day—nor did the underwire dig into my skin. The bra also comes with optional straps that can be worn in seven ways and it’s available in six different colors—though I highly recommend the deep taupe.
2. Thirdlove 24/7 Classic Strapless Bra
When searching for the best strapless bra for big boobs, Thirdlove was recommended repeatedly. I decided to give it a try and went for the classic black strapless design. I loved how well it paired with all of my blouses and tanks. It provided full coverage and lifted the girls up for the entire day without any padding. Thanks to the silicone grip located across the top and bottom of the bra, I didn’t have to worry about spillage or slippage. Despite being my exact size, the underwire dug into my skin a bit, so I would size up next time for a more comfortable fit.

3. Curvy Kate Luxe Strapless Bra
This strapless bra has curvy in the name, so my expectations were high. The rounded design and lightly padded cups provided just the right amount of coverage. I’m not a huge fan of the sewing lines across the cups though. I know it’s probably necessary for extra support and lift, but it shows through a lot of shirts. The brand also claims that the bra is seamless under clothes, but if you wear tight-fitting tanks, it will most definitely show through. I would suggest opting for darker tops as a workaround. Overall, it’s a comfortable bra and the caramel color is a nice neutral to add to my collection.

4. Curvy Kate Smoothie Strapless Bra
I hate it when you can see my bra through my shirt. This Curvy Kate strapless solves this common problem—and then some. The fabric is soft and seamless, so I can barely see it, even when I’m wearing a tight-fitting shirt. The round cups also offer great support and lift, while being slip-free so I can wear it all day long. Another nice feature that makes this bra stand apart from the rest on this list is the additional hook and clasp piece, so I can extend the band for secure fit.

5. Wacoal Red Carpet Strapless Bra
This Wacoal bra aims to flatter your upper region, offer full coverage and hold the girls in place. According to Executive Managing Editor Catrina Yohay, the strapless fit is great for daily wear due to the flexible cups that don’t budge at all. “If your pet peeve about strapless bras is that they don't stay up or you're constantly dealing with boob spillage, then this is the bra for you. The band is locked and loaded without veering into uncomfortable territory, and the full coverage cups will (literally) have you covered all night long,” she says. “I wore it for an evening out to dinner and a full day at the office and didn't have to hike it up once. I was also shocked by how comfortable it was since the band is on the tighter side. I expected to want to rip it off halfway through the workday but once I got busy, I hardly noticed it.” However, she discovered it doesn’t work with every outfit. Due to a lack of padding, Yohay felt it didn’t give enough shape to the girls: “I actually preferred it under shirts and sweaters, since it definitely flattened me out. I wouldn't reach for it if I was wearing a dress or a sexy tank top. For me, it’s more of a daytime strapless bra.”
6. Natori Feathers Strapless Bra
If you have big boobs, you know there’s a lack of bra options that are sexy and stylish. Natori is ready to change that narrative. Their feather strapless bra features molded plunge pads, lined lace along the band and comfy mesh. For Commerce Editor Olivia Dubyak, she found a new sexy staple to add to her wardrobe. “I never think of strapless bras as sexy, but the lacy band and shape of the cups make this one a super sleek option. I would recommend this bra to anyone with big boobs, especially if you're looking for a sultrier look,” shares Dubyak. “As an everyday bra this wouldn't be my number one pick, but for special occasions. It supports my chest nicely but doesn't give much of a lift, which is fine, but a nice-to-have. It's fairly comfortable, but if you're sensitive to textured bras, you may not feel fully comfortable.”
7. Commando Butter Soft Strapless Bralette
Surprisingly a bralette can work for larger chests. Just look at this Commando find for reference. Made of modal and elastane, the blend offers support and molds nicely to any cup size. Fans praise the bralette’s ultra-soft material, removable padding and adjustable back closure for a seamless fit. As Dubyak shares, “This is a versatile pick because I've worn it with strapless dresses and even a flowy workout tank for a walk in the park to avoid sports bra tan lines. The non-slip silicone strips along the top and bottom really do keep it in place, even when I'm sweating. I also love that I don't have to put the bra on over my head because it has clasps on the back like a regular bra even though it's a bralette.” She continues, “Honestly, this bra is *chef's kiss*, I don't love that I can see straight across the neckline when I'm wearing lower cut shirts, but ultimately, it's got everything I want in a strapless bra. Also, as with most bras with removable cups, putting the bra on can be a little tricky if the pads fold.”
8. Victoria Secret's Pink Wear Everywhere Push-Up Strapless Bra

Are you looking for more lift? Dubyak tested this Pink strapless bra and loved the push-up design. She shares, “This one has been my go-to even when I'm not wearing a strapless top because it's comfortable and supportive. I need a little extra lift after breastfeeding and it does a great job at pushing my chest up without spilling forward like a lot of strapless push up bras,” she says. “This is a great bra for anyone with big boobs who want a lift. If you prefer a wide band and structure, it's a top choice in my book. I've always loved the material of VS bras, too, so the soft material doesn't chafe under your arms or under the band either.”
