I was able to take international baccalaureate classes and the flexibility of taking these classes was extremely helpful. I was also able to take boces classes through the community college which put me ahead for when college actually came. There was a variety of classes and ways to take these courses as well. There was always an option to do less if your plate was too full and I always appreciated this about NC. I participated in sports and the girls best interest was always acknowledged. There were plenty of clubs promoting individuality and inclusion. I do wish the faculty spread more incineration about boces to the freshman and how beneficial it can be. I didn’t know much until my junior year and I wish I had more knowledge sooner.

My overall experience with Natrona County High School has been quite an experience! This is my first year back (my sophom*ore year I went to a boarding school with a total of 85 students, me included!); so switching from that to Natrona, a school of 2000, was definitely perhaps what I might even call a culture shock. I didn’t really know what to think at first. But the teachers were patient with me, and willing to let me be my stubborn-self - I tend to refuse to ask for help until the time is up and I learn the hard way; but my teachers were patient, and admired that quirk in me. Some old friends even came back by my side so I wasn’t alone at the beginning.
I am incredibly grateful that my time so far at Natrona has turned out the way it did because I believe a lot of students may not have been as fortunate as me, and that’s what makes me cherish my moments with my teachers and friends even more, and want to help those students who might face challenges.
