Arsenal are set to re-launch their bid for Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes - but they're still not willing to trigger his release clause.

Thomas Partey's rumoured move to the Saudi Pro League is at a standstill for the moment, Fabrizio Romano says.

He reports: "Thomas Partey has been linked again with Saudi clubs, and interest has been there since last summer. However, nothing concrete is happening yet because Saudi clubs are still waiting to learn what kind of budget they are working with this summer.

"There’s no concrete update on Partey yet, and we’ll have to wait for budgets to be approved before this has the possibility to go any further, with Saudi clubs not closing deals for any players at the moment - so far any interest or discussions are only verbal and nothing more."

Fabrizio Romano has revealed the latest on rumours linking Arsenal with Jeremie Frimpong.

He reports on the Daily Briefing: "We’ve seen Jeremie Frimpong linked with Arsenal in recent times, but also more recently with Liverpool. Still, I have no update on Frimpong now, because he will not decide anything on his future during the Euros - this is the current plan. The release clause is there and valid, but Frimpong wants to focus on the Euros now so the situation is currently quiet."

Arsenal are one of a number of clubs seeking to strengthen their ranks by signing Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, according to Caught Offside.

Palace value the England defender around the €50-60 million mark, which is likely to be too high for the Gunners and transfer rivbals Newcastle, yet the player is said to be "open" to leaving Selhurst Park.

Serhou Guirassy will "90 percent" join Borussia Dortmund from Stuttgart, FussballTransfers reports.

He will earn three times his salary at BVB and will depart for just €18m.

Chelsea, Arsenal and AC Milan were also monitoring him.

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi has stated that he is solely focused on performing for Spain at Euro 2024, despite talk of a summer transfer.

Arsenal have been linked with the 25-year-old, but he is not currently thinking about a move.

When asked if the tournament was a chance for him to earn a summer transfer, Zubimendi said: "I mainly look for the benefit of the national team, I am not thinking about what I can win in this European Championship.

“All my energy is focused on the group, on winning it, and the individual will be a consequence of all this that will come later. I’m not thinking about this now."
