World Blood Donor Day 2024!Every drop counts. On World Blood Donor Day, we honour those who donate blood and encourage others to join this life-saving cause. In South Africa, about 3,000 units of blood are needed daily to meet patient needs, according to the South African National Blood Service (SANBS). Blood donations are especially crucial for pregnant women who may face complications such as postpartum hemorrhage or eclampsia, premature babies, and individuals with severe anemia. Shockingly, only about 1% of South Africans donate blood regularly, highlighting the urgent need for more donors.A single blood donation can save up to three lives, making an enormous impact on the lives of those in need. Beyond saving lives, donating blood also offers health benefits for the donor, such as reducing high blood pressure and enhancing mental and emotional wellbeing through the act of helping others.Join us in supporting this vital cause. Your donation can make a significant difference and help save lives.#WorldBloodDonorDay#AfrocentricGroup #SANBS#PregnancyAwareness#DonateBlood

Today, several colleagues from the AfroCentric Group, including our Group CEO, Gerald Van Wyk, attended the 2024 Sanlam Group Leadership Conference. Under the theme, "Our clients are our GOOD OBSESSION", the Conference took place at the CTICC. Gerald was one of the speakers at the conference, marking a significant step as AfroCentric integrates its healthcare expertise into the broader vision of the Sanlam Group, a leader in non-banking financial services. "There are fault lines that the private sector needs to correct and the AfroCentric Group is doing that through managed care cordination by using a value and quality vs volume model through our subsidiaries, Medscheme, Pharmacy Direct's CCMDD programme and Klinikka"#ClientServiceExcellence #GoodObsession #TransformingHealthcare #HealthierTogether #Yearoftheclient
